    • Abstract:
The article discusses the outlook for small addiction treatment centers to exit the employer-sponsored health insurance business due to the U.S. Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act and concern that health insurance exchanges do not offer their employees viable options as of October 2013. The remarks of executives from the New York Association of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Providers Inc., Ocean Mental Health Services, and Valley HealthCare System are noted.
