In the orchards in Vojvodina (Serbia, Yugoslavia) 104 weed species were registered on the whole out of which 48 were perennial species. The biggest distribution and quantitative presence was registered for: Convolvulus arvensis, Cirsium arvense, Sorghum halepense, Cynodon dactylon, Agropyrum repens, Taraxacum officinale and Rubus caesium. Different agroecological conditions and agricultural practices in various parts of the orchards induced differences in the presence of perennial weeds both between rows and spacing areas. The presence of perennial weeds was more prominent in the row areas whereby 43 species were encountered. In the spacing area 23 species were registered. Out of the perennial weeds registered, geophytic and hemicryptophytic species were the dominating ones in the row and spacing areas respectively.
