      Recent Supreme Court rulings and increased pressure by civil rights groups on the federal government have made equal employment and affirmative action pressing issues for business. Providing jobs and opportunities for minority group members may not be sufficient to bring about stable, integrated work settings. The quality of individual employee-manager relationships and the extent to which top management's practices, policies, and programs support the full integration of the work place are crucial determinants.
